Macon – Bibb County grand jurors indicted six defendants Tuesday in a string of alleged gang-influenced armed robberies.

Juan Malik Parker, Anthony Rashad Love, Tiquan Jamir Spivey, Kani Harper, Eric Hill, and Deshannon Callaway, each are charged with three counts of violating the Georgia Racketter Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

Parker, 18, of Macon, additionally is charged with three counts of armed robbery and eight counts of violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Love, 19, of Stockbridge, and Spivey, 20; Harper, 16; Hill, 15; and Callaway, 15; all of Macon, are each charged with two counts of armed robbery and six counts of violating the gang act.

The indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court alleges:

Between Sept. 23, 2018, and Nov. 17, 2018, five armed robberies occurred at Dollar General and Family Dollar stores in Macon

  • Sept. 23, 2018 — Family Dollar, 3600 Napier Avenue
  • Oct. 16, 2018 – Family Dollar, 3656 Jeffersonville Road
  • Nov. 6, 2018 – Dollar General, 3407 Napier Avenue
  • Nov. 13, 2018 – Family Dollar, 2584 Rocky Creek Road
  • Nov. 17, 2018 – Dollar General, 3407 Napier Avenue

An Oct. 5, 2018, armed robbery at Waffle House, 4731 Chambers Road, also has been linked to the robbery spree.

An investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Bureau of Investigation led to the arrest of Parker, Love, Spivey, Harper, Hill and Callaway. The investigation also revealed evidence that the men have ties to the Gangster Disciples and Mafia street gangs. It’s alleged that the defendants engaged in the robberies to acquire money and other proceeds, and to maintain their positions in the gang.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.

Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until he or she is proven guilty in a court of law.
