Macon – Bibb County grand jurors indicted defendants in two Macon murder cases Tuesday:
- Jaquavius Terrion Moore and Malcolm Bernard Peek, both 17 and of Macon, are each charged with malice murder and felony murder in the June 18, 2017, fatal shooting of 57-year-old Emanuel Stroud Sr.
- Tirell Darnell Mitchell, 26, of Macon, is charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in the April 14, 2018, fatal shooting of 44-year-old Jim Julian Baldwin II.
An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial. Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
