The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of crimes committed in Bibb, Crawford, and Peach counties.

Our goal is to provide law enforcement services through the prosecution of crimes. Cases generally originate with an arrest by a law enforcement agency and then are reviewed by an assistant district attorney. Afterward, a case may be prepared for presentation to the grand jury for an indictment. Persons indicted, or otherwise charged, are then prosecuted through jury or bench trials if a case doesn’t resolve in a guilty plea.

Our Macon office is in the Grand Building, accessed through the Bibb County courthouse located at the corner of Mulberry and Second streets. The Peach County office acts as a hub for our staff based in Crawford and Peach counties. The Peach County office is in Fort Valley on the second floor of the county courthouse.
